From dodgeball to soccer, Play Sask has you covered for fun winter activities that won’t leave you out in the cold.
Dodgeball
Dodgeball is more than the game you remember from school. It’s an exciting, fast-paced workout with lots of laughter. And with a 13-week season, playing dodgeball this winter is going to keep you active right until spring.
Teams of six face off in a battle to get the other team out by hitting them with foam balls. Casual leagues are a great place for beginners and relaxed play, while Competitive and International leagues are for experienced players who want to take it to the next level.
New this season: International Dodgeball
If you want to compete at regional, national, or international tournaments, you’ll be playing with international rules, which are a bit different than the rules we follow for our Casual and Competitive leagues.
Our International league will be following the same rules as Dodgeball Canada: World Dodgeball Federation rules. There are quite a few differences in the rules, including that WDF uses 7-inch balls, boundaries are in effect, and the games are officiated.
For this first trial season, we’ll be asking players to register as individuals and then we’ll be putting together draft teams. Each week, two teams will play while one team will ref.

Indoor soccer
In our adult co-ed rec soccer league, the competition is fierce but friendly. People come to practice their game, hang out with friends, and meet new people who love soccer, too!
The self-officiated league follows futsal rules, a variation of soccer designed for indoor gyms with a focus on control and passing. The size 4 ball has a bit more weight to it, and boundaries are in effect so you can’t use the walls. A kick-in puts the ball back into play.
