Dodgeball is back for the fall 2020 season with Casual leagues on Mondays and Tuesdays, and a Competitive league on Wednesdays.
Our Casual leagues are a super fun way to get exercise and meet new people, while the Competitive league is for teams who want to play against some of the best dodgeballers in the city.
New this season for casual leagues is that there are no gender requirements. You can read more about our decision in our blog post on the topic.
Leagues start the week of Sept. 21 and run until the end of November. Registration closes Sept. 7.
In order to comply with the COVID-19 guidelines this season, teams will be placed in a pool of 3-5 teams with a maximum of 10-15 players allowed per team. We won’t know the exact roster numbers until we know how many teams have registered, so you should plan to only have 10 people on your roster just in case.
Creating pools like this allows us to keep our leagues under the 50-person maximum required under the government’s COVID-19 guidelines.
Because we won’t be having full leagues this season, we won’t be awarding prizes, though we’ll still be keeping score and you’ll have the bragging rights about being the top team in your pool.
We’re also implementing a COVID-19 plan to help keep our players safe. Captains must share this plan with their players, and all players must obey measures put in place by facilities and directions from Play Sask staff.
